Project Dasher - Autodesk Building Performance and Retrofits

I've written about this project before. It's a digital recreation of a real building.

David Light has a nice post about this item as it's something he and some other Revit bloggers were shown at the recent Autodesk media event. I've yet to be invited to the Autodesk blogger events, despite being the most prolific Revit and BIM blogger on the planet. Personally, I'm highly offended by this snub and at least a 'we'd like to invite you but can't because you're a reseller and it wouldn't be fair to the other reseller BS' story would at least show a tiny bit of recognition and appreciation, but I guess it's a BIM Shrugged moment. I guess I'll just start writing blog posts about Archicad and you can spend quality time on Autodesk's AutoCAD Facebook page.

Introduction

Project Dasher is a web-based application that helps to augment existing Autodesk® Revit® design models with real-time building submeter and sensor data on electricity and occupancy. Using meter and sensor data, Autodesk Project Dasher aims to demonstrate the value of integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM) and building instrumentation to provide building owners more insight into how existing buildings perform in real time and throughout the lifecycle of the building.
