I love being a part of the BIM blogosphere. Every day I get to share my knowledge, experience, research and humor with you.
I made a blog post yesterday about a the ability to do a Save As in Revit. For those of you who've been using Revit for a while, go IFC yourself. For the rest of you, it can't be done. Do I ever want that feature in Revit? Of course not. You'd never renew subscription if you had backwards compatability. Who want Revit to act like AutoCAD anyway.
Today, I got several blog comments.

Rob, April 5, 2011 10:15 AM Mr Light - pure evil! Check the date.
Either you didn't click his link or you are trying to 'double-trick' us?
Luke Johnson,
I specifically did not include the very last line of David's original blog post. The one that said 'Labels: check the date'. Of course I didn't include that. Otherwise, you'd have known immediately it was David's April Fools joke.
This morning, I was just coming out of a meeting with a GC I had just converted to BIM. As I was going down in the elevator, I was reading Scott Davis' blog comment. Scott, I almost emailed you. How could you even think I didn't know it was a joke. I think I may be insulted that you actually thought you needed to make the comment. I am glad you are reading my blog thought.
...and then there's Luke. Luke has a great blog, http://whatrevitwants.blogspot.com/. Luke worries me a little. He writes almost as many blog posts as I do. Thankfully, his are all very technical and based on the use of Revit at his firm. Luke, keep up the great work. Luke, yes, I was double tricking you. Who ever said that April 1st, was the only day you could trick somebody. Hey everyone, you can now download Revit Architecture 2012 from subscription center. See, just kidding again and...hey..where did everyone go. I was joking. Close the subscription center web page. There's nothing there that's new.
Anyway, guys, thanks for the comments. It's always nice to know there are some people paying attention and between end of March and mid April is a crazy time of year for Revit users all over the world.
